"Things that are trending on Google stand out to me, too - if something is more popular this week than the last, chances are we'll want to jump on that bandwagon."

Please provide a brief introduction to yourself & GLAMOUR

I'm Lucy, I'm 24 and working as GLAMOUR UK's newest commerce writer, overseeing the interiors portion of the site. We're all about pinning down the latest trends and marrying that with timeless style, so readers can shop the things that are in right now, but that will also be statement pieces a couple years down the line.

Give us the inside scoop, what is your favourite part about working as Commerce Writer?

Definitely getting to preview all the interiors brands' new collections. Summer '22 is looking groovy for the world of homeware, so keep your eyes peeled.

What is it you look for from brands who are trying to get featured?

Accent pieces - like a boucle chair or rattan dressing table - are always great to see; something that you never knew you wanted but now that you've seen it you simply have to have. Things that are trending on Google stand out to me, too - if something is more popular this week than the last, chances are we'll want to jump on that bandwagon.

What’s the most memorable approach you’ve had from a PR (good or bad)!

I'm always really impressed when a PR firm will drop into my inbox to let me know that a GLAMOUR-type celebrity owns or loves one of their brands' products. It's a real golden pitch for us come our morning conference as our readers love that celeb-endorsed peg.

Tell us everything about how you won the BBC Worldwide award for Best New Brand in 2019.

It seems like such a long time ago now! We - myself and an amazing team of young journos won the award for our magazine, Canvas & Glass, which was centred around guiding readers on how to live plastic free in a world where 'single use' is rife. We all worked really hard launching the brand from the ground up and, to win such a prestigious title, it definitely made all that effort feel worthwhile.

We hear that you are into interiors! Tell us, what is your current favourite interior design trend?

It's got to be curvy pastels. I'm seeing spiral candlesticks, S-shaped sofas and all manner of lilacs and peaches popping up in stores right now. I recently picked up this incredible wavy vase from Habitat and I think I'm going to make it a little DIY project to paint it sage or yellow - it was only £14!
