New Tech & Gadgets Power Pitching Case Study

Last week, we were delighted to host a brand new Power Pitching press event focusing on all things Tech & Gadgets! This event was borne out of the demand from both national media and tech brands and their PR agencies to meet face-to-face and discuss new gadget launches into the market.

Not only was this a new industry and product-specific event, but we were also delighted to welcome lots of new faces to Power Pitching for the first time across both the media and PRs.

Joining us for this power hour were;

  • Smarty Plants - demonstrating their smart sensor that monitors your plants every need

  • Hisense - launching their smart fridges with built-in screens

  • Petlibro - showcasing their automated pet feeders

  • Cricut - spotlighting their latest cutting machine launch 

  • Zaboura Communications - representing multiple clients, including Kingston Technology & Netgear

Following the event, many samples of products featured have been sent to the journalists as they’re busy creating coverage and articles for the products to feature in.


Smarty Plants, which attended Power Pitching for the first time, rated every element of the event as ‘Excellent’ and shared, “I was impressed with the process from start to finish. With journalists now having such limited time, the opportunity to have multiple face-to-face pitches with genuinely top-tier journalists is invaluable! We have no improvements; we have been really pleased with the outcomes.”


Creative Bloq’s Tech Reviews Editor, who also attended Power Pitching for the first time commented, “It was a more energised and more focused type of product pitching, cutting out any fluff or irrelevant information that so often comes with virtual PR briefings. We got to see people channel their passion for each product as they knew they had to keep things sharp, and that made many of the products more interesting as a result.”

ITV Lorraine shared, “It was a great hour spent getting ideas and inspiration for our next gadget feature.”
