On the 31st July, we connected our brands with 15 of our esteemed media friends from across the pond in the US at our Meet The US Media Virtual Power Pitching event.
7 brands already operating in the US market were given the opportunity to make waves overseas and produce a storm solidifying themselves further in the world's largest consumer market.
Putting on a show for our friends were; Dr Paw Paw, Dualit, SURI, Mad Beauty, Wonderbly, Big Potato Games, and YuMe.
Despite the 4,242 mile separation and 5 hour time difference our brands and media were brought together by the desire to discover new products for Christmas gifting. Journalists had an early access, 6 minute sneak preview at the latest products ranging from beauty must-haves to personalised books and kitchen essentials leaving our journalists spoiled and with a bank of products to promote to their variety of readers.

Hearst Magazine shared their delight with the event commenting “A highly efficient way to meet with various brands across different categories!”. They also wanted to share a particular shout out to SURI exclaiming “ I heard about them at the pitching event last year and I’m a big fan!” A great demonstration of how collaborative press events help put brands that might not otherwise have been on the media radar into the direct spotlight and make a lasting impression, helpful for other articles and retail events throughout the year.
We welcomed YuMe to their first Power Pitching event and loved having them on board to experience a speed-dating style press event, made fun, efficient and fruitful, and we hope to see them again at another event very soon.
