Christmas in July rebrands as CIJ Group

The world is changing and so are we...


We’re delighted to announce our company rebrand to CIJ Group Ltd, which encompasses the range of PR solutions we offer today and reflects the changes in the media landscape. 


Our holding company, CIJ Group, stands for the essence of what we do: Connecting PRs with Influencers & Journalists. The new name retains our brand heritage and widely used industry acronym CIJ (Christmas in July).


CIJ Group offers three core solutions to support product PR outreach for both in-house and agency PR teams:

  • The Big Christmas Press Show - formerly the Christmas in July Festival, this is our annual exhibition welcoming 100 brands & retailers showcasing to 900+ journalists and influencers.  Brands meet on average 180 contacts across two days, with larger retailers meeting 400+ media. This has quickly become the biggest retail event for the media in the UK trusted by global brands and high-street retailers.  The next show is taking place on 15th & 16th September 2021 at the Business Design Centre, London.

  • Power Pitching (Virtual) - this year we changed all of our Power Pitching events to a hugely successful virtual format, supporting PRs and journalists to meet on a more regular basis and minimising time spent away from desks. Events take place throughout the year for a variety of seasons in the retail calendar, gifting occasions and key product categories. 

  • PressFix - formerly, PressFix is the place where media can get their daily fix of latest products, hi-res imagery, press releases, lookbooks and PR contact information from over 160 brands & retailers. No longer focused on just gift guide content, PressFix supports new product launches 365 days a year, for key seasons including Spring / Summer and Autumn / Winter, plus occasions including Mother's Day, Easter, Father's Day, Back to School, Christmas and many more. 


Our Journey so far…

Back in 2017, we launched the Christmas in July Festival, to support collaboration amongst the retail industry for the key festive season. Our main driver for this was to make lives easier for journalists & influencers, by being able to visit multiple leading brands under one roof. We then evolved our offering to serve other key dates in the retail calendar through our Power Pitching events, together with image library for journalists to download content for their gift guides and shopping pages. Our mission today remains the same, to create innovative solutions for the changing retail and media landscape.
