On Thursday 28th April, the CIJ Group team excitedly headed back to the Hideaway, Sloane Place, for our second CIJ Inspired Networking Event and what a night it was!
CIJ Inspired was founded after the lovely Emma Cooke, PR Manager at Homebase, came to us saying she missed the schmoozing and mingling that in-person events bring. Given that connecting is at the heart of everything we do, with our Power Pitching events, The Big Christmas Press Show and our thought leadership designed webinars, we decided to create our own series of in-person networking events, intended to bring together PRs and industry peers to meet, share best practices, learn and generally talk as a PR community.
A variety of guests attended our second event, including representatives from Homebase, Soapbox PR, Fan Club PR and Jumps Dogs Parachute Team, as well as influencer Raquel from @thetinyrules on Instagram!
The Hideaway room was once again decorated beautifully with gorgeous orange floral displays covering the bar, which matched the furniture of the room, whilst the dim mood lighting set a cosy, fun and warm ambience for the evening.
It was amazing to catch up with familiar faces and new ones and of course welcome back some of our wonderful clients from our launch event. The night was a great flurry of chatter and laughter as we mingled, networked and sipped on Prosecco. Joined by a live guitarist, the atmosphere was upbeat, intimate and positive, as we discussed everything PR, future business plans and shared best practices. It was also great to hear some amazing feedback from our clients, at the event, on the services we offer. The girls from Soapbox PR praised the incredible coverage they received following the Beauty & Grooming and Valentine’s Day Power Pitching Events they attended - they couldn’t believe the sheer volume of journalists who wrote about their products - whilst also sharing their building excitement and stand plans for the upcoming The Big Christmas Press Show in September!
All in all, it was definitely a night to remember.
